Maksweld-Vermiculite coated silica fabric is a specialized high-temperature textile made by applying a vermiculite mineral coating to high-purity silica fabric (typically >96% SiO₂). This combination enhances the fabric’s thermal performance, abrasion resistance, and lifespan in severe environments.

WHAT IS VERMICULITE COATED SILICA FABRIC ?

1. Base Material:

  • Silica Fabric (96% + SiO2)
  • Excellent heat resistance up to 1000°C continuous, 1200°C short-term
  • Flexible, strong, and chemically resistant

2. Coating:

  • Vermiculite, a natural mineral that expands when heated
  • Applied to one or both sides of the fabric
  • Provides a protective layer of ceramic-like particles
