Enfoutex PVC-coated fire blanket is designed to put out small fires and sparks particularly in welding industrial settings. It consists of a base material, usually fiberglass or another fire-resistant fabric, which is then coated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The PVC coating provides additional durability, resistance to moisture, chemicals, and wear, making the fire blanket more robust in harsh environments.

USES IN WELDING:

  • Spark protection: Placing the blanket over surfaces or around the welding area to protect nearby equipment, floors, or walls from sparks and hot metal.
  • Heat shielding: To protect sensitive materials or components that are adjacent to the welding work.
  • Personal protection: Sometimes used to shield the welder or others from splashes of molten metal.

 

MAINTENANCE:

  • Ensure that welding blankets are regularly inspected for damage, such as tears or burns, which could compromise their effectiveness.
  • Clean them as needed to remove metal debris or residue, which could cause damage over time.
