The Maksweld MK-ELOV-25 (25 kg) Electrode Oven is engineered for welders who demand reliability and performance on the job site. It is used in welding oper ations for baking and holding welding electrodes to ensure they are dry and free from moisture, which is critical to prevent hydrogen-induced cracking and porosity in welds. Purpose of Maksweld MK-ELOV-25 Oven

  • Baking electrodes before use to remove moisture.
  • Holding (storage) of low-hydrogen electrodes at a controlled temperature to prevent reabsorption of moisture.
  • Used in fabrication shops, construction sites, or welding stations where maintainingelectrode quality is essential.

 

How to Use a MK-ELOV-25 Oven

   1.  Preheating the Oven

  • Plug in and turn on the oven.
  • Set the thermostat to the desired temperature:
  • Baking: 250–300°C for 1–2 hours (depending on electrode type and manufacturer recommendation).
  • Holding: 100–150°C.

 2. Loading Electrodes

  • Load only dry or rebuked electrodes.
  • Do not overload beyond 25 kg capacity.
  • Spread electrodes evenly to allow heat circulation.

3. Operation

  • Keep the door closed during operation to maintain temperature and prevent contamination.
  • Use temperature indicator to monitor internal temperature.

 4. Retrieving Electrodes

  • Use insulated gloves when retrieving hot electrodes.
  • Remove only as many electrodes as required to limit air exposure.
